The National Museum in Cracow on a series of meetings devoted to the history of art at the new title in the whole art. We offer both a journey back in time - from antiquity to the present day - as well as space - from the west through to the Far East.
Lectures are held in the main building of the Museum, al. 3 Maja 1, in the chair. 18.00.

LATIN ART BETWEEN THE HOLY SOIL A CRIMEA In XII-XV century.
We, the people who are not Westerners, we have become people of the East (Fulk of Chartres).
Series of lectures will most poorly known artistic phenomena as a consequence of military and colonial expansion of the Latin West in the eastern Mediterranean and the Black Sea since the turn of the eleventh and twelfth in the second half of the fifteenth century when they were mainly related to traffic and economic activity krucjatowym Italian republics in these coastal areas. Elements will be identified and the impact of Byzantine art on Islamic art of the crusaders, as well as the basic effects of the Latin presence in these areas for the art of Western Europe.
